TIC Training Center collects and uses personal information to provide you with a secure, professional, and effective e-learning experience. This notice provides a summary of our data practices at or before the time we collect your information.
To deliver our services through the LearnWorlds platform and manage your training, we collect:
Identifiers: Your name, email address, and IP address.
Professional & Educational Info: Your course progress, quiz results, and certification history.
Financial Metadata: Your billing address and payment status. (Note: All raw credit card data is securely tokenized and handled by specialized financial processors, such as Stripe; we do not store your full card numbers).
Internet Activity: Information about how you interact with our platform, marketing campaigns, and emails (managed via third-party analytics and communication partners, including but not limited to Drip, Google Analytics, and Meta).
We use your data for the following specific purposes:
- To create and secure your training account.
- To issue certificates of completion and verify your professional hours.
- To process payments for subscriptions and individual courses.
- To send you relevant training updates and reminders about your renewals.
You have the right to control your data and opt out of targeted advertising at any time.
We do not "sell" your personal information for money. However, like many digital platforms, we do "share" certain data with third-party advertising networks (including Google and Meta) to track platform performance and deliver targeted marketing. Under laws like the CCPA, this is considered a form of selling/sharing data.
Global Privacy Control (GPC) & Manual Opt-Out: While we respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) rights, our platform provider (LearnWorlds) cannot currently detect these browser signals automatically. To opt out of marketing and tracking cookies, you must manually update your preferences by going to
Me > Account > Notifications & Privacy in your student dashboard.
We keep your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
Active Training Records: Kept as long as your account is active.
Certification Records: Kept for as long as required by professional licensing boards.
Financial Records: Kept as required for North Carolina tax and audit compliance (typically 7 years).
As a North Carolina LLC using an EU-based platform (LearnWorlds), your data may move between the EU and the US. We protect these transfers using Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
